2013 NHL Stanley Cup Playoff Predictions Sure to go Wrong

Tonight the quest for the Stanley Cup begins the Los Angeles Kings will look to defend their title but the field of 16 isn’t short on challengers this spring. LA won as an eight seed last seed but will be the fifth this year out west, with all that said here are my predictions sure to go wrong.

Eastern Conference

1st Round

1 Pittsburgh Penguins v. 8 New York Islanders – Penguins in six
2 Montreal Canadians v. 7 Ottawa Senators – Canadians in five
3 Washington Capitals v. 6 New York Rangers – Rangers in seven
4 Boston Bruins v. 5 Toronto Maple Leafs – Bruins in six

2nd Round

1 Pittsburgh Penguins v. 6 New York Rangers – Rangers in seven
2 Montreal Canadians v. 4 Boston Bruins – Bruins in six

Eastern Conference Finals

4 Boston Bruins v. 6 New York Rangers – Rangers in six

Western Conference

1st Round

1 Chicago Blackhawks v. 8 Minnesota Wild – Blackhawks in five
2 Anaheim Ducks v. 7 Detroit Red Wings – Ducks in five
